to %WINDIR%\system32\dns\CACHE.DNS.OLD
- Save the file orsn.hint as CACHE.DNS in the same place.

or type in: net stop dns and then net start dns
- Close all instances of the DNS MMC snapin, and stop the windows DNS
service by typing 'net stop dns' at a command prompt or using the
services.msc MMC snapin.
- Rename the existing %systemroot%\system32\dns\cache.dns file (eg. to
cache.dns.old), copy the ORSN root hints file to the folder, and rename
it cache.dns.

Administrative Tools folder or by running 'dsa.msc'.
- On the View menu, ensure that the 'Advanced Features' option is
ticked.
- In the System folder, expand MicrosoftDNS, Right-click
RootDNSServers, and click delete. You will need to click 'Yes' twice to
confirm the two dialog boxes which pop up.
- Start the DNS Server, either by typing 'net start dns' at the command
prompt, or via the services.msc snap-in.
- Verify that the Active Directory root dns servers have been updated
by viewing the RootDNSServers folder in Active Directory Users and
Computers (you may need to click refresh). You should also verify this
by right-clicking on the Server in the DNS MMC snap-in (dnsmgmt.msc),
